There has been so much buzz about these little drugstore lippies that I had to see what all the hype was about. While running into walgreens (for one thing, and walking out with 7, as per usual) I spotted a display of these and grabbed two shades, Addiction and Devotion. After testing (and falling in love with) those two, I ran to ULTA for four more, picking more adventurous shades this time, and I was hooked!Read More
Holy cow, I can't believe April has already flown by! There's only about two weeks of school left for me, and then I'll be home in Texas for the summer! This month, I've been having fun with lots of bright colors, like these fun Essie polishes and coloring books!Read More
Spring is finally budding, and with that has come the transition from boots, pants, and dark colors, into sandals, skirts, and bright pastels! This month, I've had fun playing around with some brighter nail polishes, fun rings, and gorgeous new sandals!Read More
This month was full of rediscoveries and a few new favorites. February was all about pretty neutrals and muted colors to transition from winter to spring! First up, these gorgeous shades from Essie! I've been loving rotating and mixing these three for an understated but fresh mani. Imported Bubbly (left) has a beautiful pearl-effect on the nail, and looks amazing paired with Mochachino (right) which is a pretty light brown with tiny light-reflecting particles in it. Sugar Daddy (center) is the ultimate natural color. It adds just a slight polished pink to the nail, and pulls together whatever look you're wearing without drawing too much attention.Read More
This month brought a few new beauty finds, and a few re-discoveries! These are some of the products I've been reaching for every day!
It's no secret that I've had a long-running love affair with L'Oreal's Million Lashes Mascara (One of the best drugstore mascaras, seriously.) but I've just discovered their False Fiber Lashes mascara, and I have to say, it's pretty dang amazing. For full, fluttery lashes, this golden beauty is a winner!!
2. Essie Polish - After School Boy Blazer and Sugar Daddy
You can never have too many Essie polishes. It's simply not possible. This month, I've been loving wearing this sheer pink shade, Sugar Daddy on my nails. It adds a sophisticated polish, but isn't too obvious when it chips (because who really has the time to keep up with a manicure?)
For the toes, I've been all about After School Boy Blazer. It's a dark, dark navy that almost appears black, and it looks too cute!
3. LORAC Skinny Palette in Black
This little gem has been picked up almost every day! I use the second shade all over the lid, fourth for a contour, and then use the darkest brown or black for a liner! It's a perfect travel palette, and has colors for both day and night! Unfortunately, this exact palette was a limited edition, but LORAC has the Matte Pro Palette which is very similar!!
It's getting colder, which means dewy summer skin is no longer here and winter mattes are here to stay! I love Maybelline's FIT Me powder because it provides the perfect finish without looking chalky or cakey.
And for the 600th time, please let me tell you about Clinique's Color Pop Lipsticks! These hyper-pigmented suckers have gorgeous color, insane lasting-power, super hydration, and are my OBSESSION. I currently have Cola Pop (A rich brown-red), Poppy Pop (a bright orangey-red), and Punch Pop (a bold fuchsia). I adore them and plan on collecting every single shade!
I mentioned this foundation in my Drugstore Foundation Comparison and it definitely won out of all the types I tested. It has a nice, medium coverage, it's easy to apply and there's an enormous shade range in three different tones (cool, neutral, and warm) so you're guaranteed to find a perfect match!
