Twice a year, the world’s most fashionable people flock to Paris for Fashion Week, all dressed to the nines in the latest trends. But Parisian women, long regarded as the most stylish of them all, still keep a few styling rules which keep them looking chic from dawn till dusk. If you want to dress like the effortlessly chic Parisienne, here are a few guidelines:Read More
Good morning, lovelies! Long-time-no-see! I've been swamped between homework and work these past two weeks, but I should be back to my normal blogging schedule soon. However, I did manage to pop down to Brooklyn Heights during a crisp foggy morning, and after shooting with David, hung out for a bit and sipped coffee while reading and people-watching, with a gorgeous view of the Manhattan skyline (aka my ideal morning).Read More
NYC temperatures are still hovering in the upper 60's, lower 70's range, so it's not quite cold enough for fall clothing, but not quite warm enough to pull off the summer favorites either. For this weird in-between weather, I went with a classic white button down and relaxed denim, and made it a little more fall by adding on a pair of olive chelsea rain-boots and a burgundy neck scarf tied in a wilderness knot (for those of you who "speak J.Crew" this will make perfect sense)
Burgundy and Olive are going to be two huge colors for this coming fall, and I'm excited to play them up together with neutrals like camel and navy, to part from the typical boring black (So non-New-Yorker of me). And as if I haven't pounded the idea of neck-scaves into you enough lately, I'm crazy excited to build my collection and wear them all. the. time.
And of course I have to top that off with a few accessories. Going off the burgundy trend, I carried this adorable micro bag from the WhoWhatWear x Target collection (which is only $30!!) After that, I added on a few small pieces of jewelry from this month's Rocksbox (see the post with a code for a free box HERE) I threw on these delicate Kendra Scott Kimmel threader earrings and a pave ring by Sophie Harper
With Texas temps hitting highs in the hundreds, it's a constant battle not to wear shorts and a loose fitting tee. To get around this, I opted for a loose orange tank (which is actually a dress tucked in, but shhhhh... see it HERE) and pulled on my FAVORITE pants, a pair of black, wide-leg culottes from Zara. They feel like pajama pants, but somehow end up looking chic with a pop of color and a pair of heels.Read More
Good Morning, Lovelies! Sorry for this post being a day late, but I'm currently in Arkansas for a wedding! (Be sure to look out for a vlog from this weekend, and pictures on Instagram!!)
Anyway, I was with my mom in White House Black Market when I spotted these 70's style striped pants on the sale rack and couldn't resist! The vertical stripes make legs look miles long (though the heels help), and I couldn't resist pairing it with my beloved Tim Ryan jacket! This jacket makes any outfit into a statement, even a plain T shirt and jeans (Which I did HERE!)Read More
Mornin' Lovelies! Today I felt like dressing-up a pair of casual jeans with some classic black pumps. Heels are the easiest way to make any outfit a bit more chic, and if you invest in a good pair with a manageable heel height, they are so much more comfortable! I added an easy and classy jeweled button down from J.Crew, and these delicate Gorjana earrings that came in my Rocksbox!Read More
Back in October, Who What Wear announced that they would be doing a Spring 2016 collection with Target! The sketches looked gorgeous, and the newly released lookbook is stunning! The collection includes eye-grabbing prints and colors, using luxe-looking fabrics, all in an array of wardrobe staples and on-trend fashion pieces.
The collection comes in sizes 2 through 26, and will be available in Target stores and Target.com starting January 31st, with new styles being added each month. But here's the ringer: everything is under $50! You heard me correctly, all these gorgeous high-fashion styles are under $50!Read More
Two of my favorite things, all black outfits and gold jewelry. Honestly, black matches everything and looks good on everyone, who could ever not love it!
To make things a little more interesting, I paired it with a lace bralette from Urban Outfitters, and added a few gold bracelets, a gold fringe necklace (similar), and tweed slip-on sneakers (similar).Read More
Fashion Week is coming to a close, so before all the excitement ended, my roomie Kayla (The Style Genre) and I hopped on down the the Skylight in Clarkson Sq, one of this year's new venues for Fashion Week!
Teal is one of my favorite Pantone Fall Colors, so to start off the season, I pulled this dress from LUSH Clothing! I'm obsessed with the neckline! Another new discovery is Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. I am in love with the sheer wash of berry that's somewhere between a lipstick and a lipgloss. Perfection!Read More
If I had to wear one outfit everyday, for the rest of my life, it would be this dress! It is the most comfortable and flattering dress I've ever owned. (SO many compliments!) Plus, it looks a bit more chic than your average maxi dress. I paired it with my favorite gold sandals from LOFT, earrings from Target, and DVF Micro Milo bag!Read More
For this season, Pantone takes their inspiration from a minimalistic en plein air theme, focusing on softer, cooler tones with subtle warm shades. See the my three favorites that have been popping up across runways and on fashionistas all over the world!Read More
