Brooklyn Haze

Good morning, lovelies! Long-time-no-see! I've been swamped between homework and work these past two weeks, but I should be back to my normal blogging schedule soon. However, I did manage to pop down to Brooklyn Heights during a crisp foggy morning, and after shooting with David, hung out for a bit and sipped coffee while reading and people-watching, with a gorgeous view of the Manhattan skyline (aka my ideal morning).

Chilly

we've had a bit of a cold front in the city, and I was able to give this fur vest one last outing before spring/summer! I stuck to classic New York black, but added a little spring flair with this gorgeous orange lipstick by Kat Von D! I highly recommend these, they are amazing!

Bomber

This week is going to be a busy one! For those of you who don't know, I'm an intern at Suite 1521, and with added days there, so much to do for classes, and keeping  my regular blogging schedule, it's going to be hectic! Sometimes I wish I was a normal college student.... but not really.

Today I had a lot of errands to run, so I needed something comfortable and easy to move in. My trusted pixie pants and tweed sneakers were no-brainers, and I threw on this cream and grey bomber jacket from LOFT to keep me warm and add a model-off-duty style to the outfit. But of course, it would never be my style without a little extra sparkle, so in came my favorite J.Crew necklace.

January Lookbook

Back with my favorite looks of the month! This is my first lookbook done in Texas, thanks to my gorgeous friend Lauren (who makes a cameo towards the end!) I'm about to head back to NYC soon, so stay tuned next month for February's lookbook!

Indie Flair

I was feeling a little adventurous, so I tried out the middle-part for today's post. Not sure it'll be sticking around, but it definitely complimented my slightly more indie look today.

I haven't jumped on the flare jeans bandwagon quite yet, but these cutout oxford flats, and long pendant necklace are a fun twist to my usual style. I paired those with black pants, and a striped top with bits of lace for a simple, comfortable, and still cute weekend outfit.

I kept the makeup very simple, just adding bits of brown shadow and blush to my basic makeup, and *gasp* no lipstick!

Parisian Vintage

I am lucky enough to have a grandmother with impeccable taste, and she has slowly passed down a few gorgeous vintage items to me, including this cream and brown silk scarf. I'll admit, at first I wasn't quite sure how to work this little gem into my wardrobe.

Taking cues from effortlessly chic Parisian style, I simply knotted it over a burgundy button-down, light brown leather jacket, pixie pants, and ballet flats. I made sure to keep the makeup simple, with just a touch of brown shadow and light-pink lipstick by Jouer in the color Meredith.

Black & Gold

Two of my favorite things, all black outfits and gold jewelry. Honestly, black matches everything and looks good on everyone, who could ever not love it!

To make things a little more interesting, I paired it with a lace bralette from Urban Outfitters, and added a few gold bracelets, a gold fringe necklace (similar), and tweed slip-on sneakers (similar).

Leather and Layers

Today was a bit on the chilly side (it's about time!!) so I decided to layer two of my favorite pieces, this blue pinstripe button down from J.Crew Factory, with this blue/grey sweater (similar) from LOFT!

I added a little sparkle with this crystal statement necklace, also from J.Crew Factory and then paired that with J.Crew pixie pants, my brown leather jacket, and brown leather ankle boots (similar)! Topping everything off is my forever-favorite lipstick, Clinique's Color Pop Lipstick in Cola Pop!
