A few of my favorite things? Oversized earrings, anything pink, and Washington Sq Park! (it's the best place to hang out in the warm months, and pet people's dogs year-round) Plus, with Fashion Week kicking off, there were tons of bloggers, both native and those who flew in for the week, taking shots all around this neighborhood!Read More
No, I didn't get married, although this spot is where tons of young lovers in the city come to get married and snap a few pictures in this gorgeous little park. The fact that it had just stopped raining a few hours prior to this made the pavement of the park glitter, and the early morning light made everything in the city seem fresh and hopeful.
I finally pulled this skirt out of the back of my closet. I made it about two years ago to wear on Christmas, and this is only its second time seeing the light of day (I need to pull it out more often!) I love pairing this dramatic and slightly formal skirt with a roughed up and casual denim button down. Adding a pair of glittering earrings just pulls everything together, and the block heeled ankle boot keeps it from getting too prissy.Read More
When given the thought, most people will immediately say "I look terrible in yellow!", but I think that's simply not true. Everyone has a shade, whether you're a true bright yellow, a warm mustard, or going the extreme route and trying something like this bright chartreuse.
I bought this LOFT sweater a while ago, but I'll admit, it took me a while to get used to the vivid color and be confident wearing it. Now, it's one of my favorites! Putting this embellished collar shirt underneath adds another pop of interest, but since this one has been long out of stock, you can get a similar look with a classic white button down and a statement necklace!Read More
New Yorkers may be cold and calloused, but our wildlife sure is friendly, or... at least our squirrels are. While shooting down in City Hall Park this morning (a very underrated NYC park) a pack of squirrels came and said hello, and I made friends with one little bushy-tailed fella in particular!
For this bright city morning I pulled out one of my favorite new pieces, this off the shoulder number from J.Crew, proving that you can still do cold-shoulder looks in 40 degree weather. With it, I paired my trusty white bandana and a few sparkly bits that came in this month's Rocksbox (use code AudraKochXOXO for a free month!) And you can't go wrong with a dark wash denim and black heeled booties (I'm surprised that neither of these have fallen to pieces yet!)Read More
Good morning, lovelies! Long-time-no-see! I've been swamped between homework and work these past two weeks, but I should be back to my normal blogging schedule soon. However, I did manage to pop down to Brooklyn Heights during a crisp foggy morning, and after shooting with David, hung out for a bit and sipped coffee while reading and people-watching, with a gorgeous view of the Manhattan skyline (aka my ideal morning).Read More
Two of my favorite things when it comes to summer style: vivid hues and ladylike silhouettes. Summer is just the perfect time to run around it a poplin midi skirt, or in this case, dress! As soon as this vibrant blue number came in at J.Crew, I knew I had to have it. It's ultra-feminine and attention-grabbing, and I plan on trying to make it work for fall/winter too.Read More
One of the best parts of working retail is when an amazing sale goes up out-of-the-blue, and you're able to snatch up the best bits before anyone else for crazy cheap! I scooped these J.Crew Gemma flats up for about $13, and I'm in love! They add such a gorgeous pop of color to any outfit, and match my Kate Spade Cedar Street Maise perfectly!Read More
Good morning, Lovelies! Today I thought I would break out my favorite color combo, yellow and navy! I nabbed these gorgeous J.Crew earrings a few weeks ago when someone else returned them (just my luck!) and I love how they add a fun pop of color to any outfit! This Zara dress is a bit shorter than I usually wear, but the collared top balances it out a bit, and looks so cute paired with these J.Crew Factory Addie loafers! Once again, I'm wearing the soft matte lip cream from NYX in the shade Cannes (LOVE this shade!)Read More
Doesn't everyone carry around a purse full of flowers? Maybe not, it's a bit impractical, but makes for some very cute photos! I loved the way these spring blooms peeked out of my Kate Spade Cedar Street Maise. To compliment the already ultra-feminine look, I picked out this fun midi skier that I made about a year ago. Midi skirts are so pretty and fun, and fairly easy to sew if you know the basics!Read More
Mornin' Lovelies! Today I felt like dressing-up a pair of casual jeans with some classic black pumps. Heels are the easiest way to make any outfit a bit more chic, and if you invest in a good pair with a manageable heel height, they are so much more comfortable! I added an easy and classy jeweled button down from J.Crew, and these delicate Gorjana earrings that came in my Rocksbox!Read More
