All in HER STYLE

I first met Courtney at a Teenvouge event for a beauty brand. The music was loud, the place was packed, and the room was stuffed full of beautiful young women from sixteen to twenty five, all of who were dressed to the nines and chatting in thier circles. I was first struck by her warm personailty as well as incredible sense of style, and I knew we would connect when we both reached for the mini sliders on a passed h'orderves tray which no one else had even looked at.

Since then I’ve had the pleasure of running into her at fashion events around New York, and when I first conceived the idea of a series devoted to showcasing the unique style and viewpoint of all the women I know, Courtney was on the first list I compiled.

So without further adieu, I am thrilled to introduce you to Courtney Lyons, and publish her words on style, sustainability, and beyond

Her Style: Crocodile with Kendall Becker

Kendall Becker is a freelance editor & stylist, full-time fashion forecasting assistant and part-time blogger at fromtherealist.com. After studying Fashion Merchandising, Media & Marketing at Kent State University, she now lives in New York pursuing her dreams of surviving and thriving in the fashion industry.

Kendall is one of the gals I’ve gotten to know via Instagram, and we finally met this past NYFW! She is such a sweet person, and I know you’ll love her gorgeous city-chic style and bubbly personality!

Her Style: Asymmetry with Kayla Omsberg

Kayla Maryly Omsberg is an FIT Fashion Design graduate and Assistant Designer at Grey State Apparel. She’s lived all over the country--from Virgina, to New Jersey, to California before settling in NYC. She’s an incredible fashion sketch artist, and one of the most genuinely kind people I know! She loves hunting for vintage finds, painting watercolor, halo top ice cream, and listening to 60's music (especially Brigitte Bardot).

Kayla was actually one of my suite mates freshman year at FIT, and while I miss having 24/7 access to her stunning closet, I’m lucky to have had such great gals like her that first year!

Daphna Ben-Ari is a Brooklyn native, FIT alumni, and assistant planner at Barneys New York. Her feminine and trendy style perfectly fits her empathetic and caring personality!

I met Daphna while studying abroad together in college, and we instantly clicked as sisters (and not just because everyone thinks we look like twins!)

Her Israeli-Jewish heratige is very important to her, and she talks more in her interview about some of the values that her religion and culture instilled in her, as well as her beauty mistakes as a teenager!

Her Style: Monochrome Color with Jennyfer Gallagher

Jennyfer Gallagher is a Wholesale assistant for Balmain Paris, a French-Canadian turner New Yorker, and a fellow FIT Alumni. She also graduated from LaSalle College in Montreal with a degree in Fashion Marketing degree before making the move to NYC!

She’s a designer fashion fanatic, and can be seen scouring every sample sale in Manhattan, and has one of the kindest, and most genuine hearts of anyone I know! She’s simultaneously the boujie-est and most down to earth person I know, and she’s got a killer sense of style that I know you’ll love!

Lulu and I met our freshman year of college, and her bubbly personality instantly made me want to be friends! She always has a smile on her face, and a margarita in-hand, but she’s also the friend you can go to for unconditional love and support!

Lulu has a style all her own, that’s just as vibrant as her personality, and mixes her Latina flair with whatever style she chooses to take on that day! Get to know Lulu better in her interview, and see how we both styled the Boiler Suit trend:
