Breaking Up With My Eyelash Curler For Salon de Beauté

I had been thinking of trying eyelash extensions for awhile now. I mean, who doesn’t want to wake up with long, full, curled lashes every morning? Especially since I have like seven eyelashes total... But most salons were PRICEY, and of course I was nervous about letting someone manhandle my eyelids!

Then in comes Salon de Beauté.

I walked in to my appointment on a Tuesday morning at their Financial District salon and was greeted by a gorgeous studio and their incredibly kind staff.

One of the girls, Claire, sat me down and helped me pick out my lash length, shape, thickness, and curl-shape. Then she walked me through the whole process of how they’re put on, what they’re made of, and how to care for them! Salon de Beauté only uses mink and silk lashes imported from Korea, and hypoallergenic glue!

Claire recommended a JC (or medium) curl, a length of 12, a .18 (medium) volume, and we debated between Open and Gorgeous for my eye shape, but ended up going with Gorgeous!

Then I hopped up on the bed, and basically took a one-hour nap while the technician applied my lashes! He was so presice and gentle, not once was I uncomfortable! When I woke up, I was shocked at how amazing they looked!

Now, I wake up every morning with long, full, perfectly curled lashes, and I love them! It’s cut my makeup-time in half, since I wear NO eye makeup anymore (you can if you want, but I don’t see a need!)

And one of the best parts? If you're an NYC gal, you can get 30% off your first visit! That makes a full set of lashes under $100! (which is amaze because most places run $150-200+!!) just type in AUDRA when you book your appointment!!

Before The Appointment:

  • Do not wear any eye makeup or curl your lashes!
  • Wash face and eyes with a gentle, oil-free cleanser. I recommend this one!

After The Appointment:

  • Don't get the lashes wet for at least 24 hours (though some say 48!)
  • Don't apply mascara or use a curler on extensions (you won't need to anyway!)
  • Brush them once a day with the little spoolie brush provided to maintain shape
  • Of course you can wear eye makeup, but be very gentle when taking it off! (I love these oil-free wipes!)

Remember you can get 30% off just by typing in AUDRA, and if you do go, be sure to tag me on Instagram in your pics so I can see your gorgeous new lashes!!

xoxo,

Audra
