Verona

Ciao from fair Verona. My roommates and I spent the weekend exploring this romantic and beautiful little city, and I can say that none of us wanted to leave it! We visited Romeo and Juliet's house, castles, palaces, gardens, and hiked up to Il Belvedere! Check out a few photos I snapped from the weekend and a full Vlog down below!

Casa di Giulietta

So much fun to stand out on the balcony 'looking for Romeo' and it is apparently good luck to rub Juliette's left breast (why? I have no idea, but it was pretty funny). The walls of the courtyard are lined with lovers names and there's a full wall of heart-shaped locks that couples have put up together!

For my first day outfit, I wanted something very light, since it's still quite hot here in Italy, So I opted for a linen dress and slide sandals.

For something a little more fun, I copied an italian girl that I saw one night at aperitivo (basically italian happy hour) and tied a silk scarf around a mid-bun, letting the tails hang down.

Palazzo e Giardino Giusti

Photos cannot capture how beautiful this old palace and its gardens are. We spent hours roaming around, feeding some turtles, going through the hedge-maze, hiking up to il Belvedere (and old tower with an amazing view of the gardens) and I even made a kitty friend! (his name was pronounced 'chee-chew' and I may have tried to take him home had my roommates let me)

Arrivederci,

Audra
