Falling into Autumn

New York weather has been maddening the past week; 45 degrees one day and 70 the next! Today it was a lovely 60 and the perfect temperature for a light sweater and riding boots! I love the emerald color of this green LOFT sweater! It adds the perfect pop of color to a fall/winter outfit!

Skylight at Clarkson Sq - NYFW

Fashion Week is coming to a close, so before all the excitement ended, my roomie Kayla (The Style Genre) and I hopped on down the the Skylight in Clarkson Sq, one of this year's new venues for Fashion Week!

Teal is one of my favorite Pantone Fall Colors, so to start off the season, I pulled this dress from LUSH Clothing! I'm obsessed with the neckline! Another new discovery is Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. I am in love with the sheer wash of berry that's somewhere between a lipstick and a lipgloss. Perfection!

Fall 2015 Pantone Color Trend Report

Fall is upon us and with that comes the warm, cozy colors of fall! Pantone displayed a range or warm, earthy neutrals with a few pops of bold color! Here are my 5 favorites with a little inspiration!

1. Dried Herb - Think Military Green!

Olive-toned green has always been a fall staple. Ralph Lauren ran with this gorgeous color for his Fall 2015 collection (LOVE).  Military-style vests and pants are classics, and they look great paired with navy gingham or a deep burgundy sweater!

2. Oak Buff - Think Mustard Yellow

J.Crew chose to go a little brighter than pantone's pick, but their Fall '15 collection is stunning! And of course, who wouldn't want to rock Olivia Palermo's mustard-yellow coat this fall!

3. Marsala - Think Burgundy

Pantone's Color of the Year is my all-time-favorite, and I am so excited to break out the deep red wine hues! Banana Republic featured this gorgeous color (and did an amazing job!)

4. Biscay Bay - Think Dark Teal

It's not a common color among most wardrobes, but teal is a great color on almost all skin tones and is a great warmer alternative for fall!

5. Cashmere Rose - Think Muted Pink

For a feminine touch, pull out that dusty pink cardigan (or dress, or top, or skirt) and pair it with a rich brown or warm olive!
