Good morning, Lovelies! I apologize for being a tad late on my Birchbox this month, finals is finally over, and I can resume my regular posting schedule. There were several gems in this month's box that I'm excited to share with you!
Dry shampoo is my best friend, considering I only wash my hair every 4-5 days (it might sound gross, but trust me, once your hair gets used to it, it's magical) I've tried almost every dry shampoo on that market, and I will tell you, Amika makes the top three. (plus, it's the cheapest of the top 3) It never leaves a white residue, smells amazing, and soaks up any oil I might have in my roots! LOVE!
This lightweight oil is meant to brighten skin and add extra moisture in the daytime. I was a little skeptical of using an oil in the morning, but it soaks in quickly and was not greasy at all by the time I went to apply my makeup (Note: I usually eat breakfast between skincare and makeup to let the skincare soak in) I don't think Ican give a fair review of it as far as acne goes, due to my using it during finals week (i.e. LOTS of zits goin' on right now, thank you cortisol) But a full-size is on my list to purchase and a full review will be coming in the future.
Pale girls pay attention! The summer rays are about to hit, and sunscreen is more important than ever. Personally, I try my hardest to keep the fair skin that I have, and generally use an SPF 30 on the daily, but this stronger formula will be coming with me to the beach, and any outdoor activity soon to come. Say it with me girls, SUNSCREEN. EVERY. DAY.
I was very disappointed that I didn't get to fully try this concealer. I've wanted to test out W3LL PEOPLE for a while now, but alas the shade was much too dark, and my suitemate Kayla got a new concealer...It's supposed to correct, de-puff, and brighten undereyes while giving a medium coverage, so definitely a product I want to try!
I'm obsessed with the Black Magic Mascara from Eyeko, so when I saw this eyeliner in the box, I was ecstatic. It's comparable to the STILA Stay All Day liner, but The Eyeko version is easier to control, and seems to stay longer. It has never faded or came off throughout the day, which makes this cat-eye lover, very happy.
