July Wishlist - Beach Edit

We're in the middle of summer, and the beach is on everyone's mind! That means warm sunshine, salty sea, low-maintenance looks, and MANY pina coladas! I'm hyping up for a trip to Cancun in August, and that means prepping the beach essentials!

One Piece Swimwear

One absolute essential for the beach this year is a one-piece swimsuit. Bikini's have lost favor for a suit with a little more coverage, but not too much! You can still keep it young and modern with a deep plunge neckline, an open back, fun cutouts, straps, and mesh cutouts! Below I picked out a few of my favorites that are all under $100! Tell me your favorite in the comments section, I can't decide which one to get!!

Floppy Hat

Another must-have for keeping those UV rays off your beautiful face, floppy hats are so classy (and useful!) The classic colors have always been tan, white, or black, but bonus points if you rock a bright blue one or a style with cute writing! In my opinion, the bigger the better!

Cute Sunnies

Have to keep the sun out of your eyes too! I refuse to ever bring an expensive pair of sunglasses to the beach, so these styles under $50 are super cute, and if you accidentally lose them in the salty sea, your wallet won't be crying! I'm obsessed with this marble patterned pair, and I'll be alternating those with a classic tortoiseshell frame!

Beach Bag

And of course, something to tote around your sunglasses, towel, coverup, sunscreen, etc! Whether that's a classic straw, a preppy stripe, or something with fun slogans, grab a bag, fill it up, and let's hit the beach!!

Easy, Chic Apparel

In my opinion, dresses are the easiest and best pieces to bring for a beach vacay. They're easy, comfortable, and take no effort! They work as beach coverups, cute for strolling around town, and transition perfectly for a nice dinner in the evening! Bonus points for off-the shoulder styles and summery ruffles! To cover those feet, jeweled sandals add a little needed sparkle, while a comfy pair of espadrilles will let you walk all over the beach town in comfort and style! I love this striped pair from Nordstrom!

Beach Beauty Essentials

For spending a few days in those UV rays, a powerful sunscreen is a MUST (yes, everyone loves a nice tan, but don't leave yourself vulnerable to the harmful rays!) To protect, use Supergoop's non-greasy, unscented. non-pore clogging formula all over your face and body!

If you want to build up a little pre-trip tan sans-sunshine, try Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer, which will give you a little color so you're not afraid to don the teeny swimsuit! (for my super pale girls, mix it 50/50 with a colorless moisturizer for a more natural and gradual color!)

And for those who still need a little makeup even on the beach (I feel you!) Try Glossier's perfecting skin tint for a huge dose of skin-loving goodness with a little coverage, and my holy-grail mascara, L'Oreal's Million Lashes Waterproof Mascara!
