Beauty Box 5 Review
A few weeks ago, I got an email from Beauty Box 5, a monthly beauty subscription box, asking if they could send me one of their boxes for review! Well the pretty little blue box arrived last week, and was greeted by an explosion of confetti and bright floral cards! (and coupons! Woot woot!) The box has both full-size and sample-size products, but overall it's a solid set for the $12 price tag!
First off, what a cute pattern! I was super excited when I pulled this out of the box, and once my nails get a little longer, I'm popping these on for a special occasion! All of the sets on the website, excluding some collaboration sets, cost about $13, and they carry a ton of fun patterns and solid colors to mix and match! Love these!
I'm not much of a lipgloss girl, I much prefer a lipstick or a tinted balm, but I thought it would be fun to play around with a bit. My one pro, I have to say, is that this gloss is in no way the sticky mess that I remember lipglosses being. It's smooth, creamy, and adds a nice shine. There isn't much pigment to it at all, but it's lovely to swipe over a pretty pink lipstick!
Color Me Fragrance - Sky Blue
I wasn't too impressed by the packaging of this sample (though in my mind, it should be mandatory that all sample-fragrances have a spritz cap) but the fragrance itself was very nice! A little darker, more woodsy scent for a fall/winter night. They come in a variety of scents though, and i'd love to try Gold and Purple!
This under-eye serum is supposed to combat wrinkles, puffiness, and dark circles (which the last two, I battle on a daily basis) and after using this every day for several days, I don't see a significant difference from my 100% Pure eye cream, but maybe that means it works just as well!
If I were buying anything from this box, it would absolutely have to be these! These little sheets come in a tiny gold folder that you can tear out a single sheet, rub them over your cheeks and temples, and it gives you a very refreshed, natural glow! They have blush, bronzer, foundation, highlighter, and regular oil-blotting papers, plus a little wallet to keep them in, so they can go wherever you do! These would be amazing for travel, or anyone who needs a quick and easy touch-up on the go!
They also included a little floral tattoo, which I wore on my forearm for a few days (see it here) and it was very pretty! Overall, the box had some amazing things and some were just okay, but just the products that I loved added up to be worth more than the box itself, so there's a huge plus! I definitely recommend the Mai Couture Papers over everything! They're amazing, and I'm so glad I learned about them through Beauty Box 5! This box would be great for anyone who wants to experiment with more less known beauty brands!
