Holy cow, I can't believe April has already flown by! There's only about two weeks of school left for me, and then I'll be home in Texas for the summer! This month, I've been having fun with lots of bright colors, like these fun Essie polishes and coloring books!
Essie Polish in Tart Deco, Mochachino, & Chillato
I was having a bit of a down day, and popped into Duane Reade for a little treat (usually a diet coke, or a tub of coffee haagen dazs) and spotted the cutest watermelon-pink essie polish, Tarte Deco. I'm a firm believer that a fresh coat of polish can make any day better, so I picked up the bottle and have been in love every since!
Chillato is an old favorite, and was even in last month's favorites, but it's such an interesting twist on a classic spring mani! (plus, paired with tarte deco, it makes a dang cute watermelon pattern)
Finally, Mochachino. Again, an old favorite for an easy dark nude. It does have a bit of shimmer to it, so it's a little more interesting than your regular brown shades! (and makes the perfect shade for seeds on that watermelon print mani!)
My. Goodness. What a difference this little gem has made. I was a little hesitant to buy it, considering its $31, but I don't think I could be without it anymore! It feels so silky on the skin, and creates the perfect canvas for any makeup to lay perfectly on top. Plus, I've definitely noticed fewer breakouts over the past month! Win, Win!
I'm always on the lookout for anything that will help my dry, bleached hair, and when this bottle came in my Birchbox, I was excited to try it! I've used some products from Davines before, and always loved them, so I had high expectations, and this did not disappoint! This product is formulated to moisturize, encourage hair growth, and fight frizz! I can definitely say it moisturizes, since it's never been easier to go through my normal haircare without all the horrible tangles and frizz!
I'll admit, this was a bit of an impulse buy. But bright orange lips are so on trend for spring, and after trying this shade in Sephora, I couldn't resist. I bought the shade A-Go-Go, and I LOVE it! The Kat Von D lipsticks are such good quality, and the pigment is amazing! I will definitely be looking for more!
Another recurring favorite, this palette has been used almost every single day since I got it back in February. The shades sassy pants, jetsetter, and sweetheart rotate frequently as my favorite, but every single shade is gorgeous! I wrote a full review of the palette with swatches HERE!
A rotating collection of gorgeous jewelry tailored to your personal taste? Um... heck yeah! Sign me up! I got my first Rocksbox this month, and I loved everything in it! Seriously, it was physically painful to send that pave Z ring back. But a new one is on it's way, and there are more gorgeous gems in store! Even better, you can get your first month free with the code "audrakochxoxo"!
Finally, with final projects and exams looming, my mind-clearing activity of choice over the past month has been coloring books! These are made specifically for adults (although kids can have fun with them too!) and are so easy to just sit down, relax, and just not think for a little while. Pick up a coloring book, some pencils, and a nice cup of tea, and enjoy!
What have you been loving this month?
